I wrote this song just the same day that Julie, my partner, put her 18 year old labradoodle, Reese, down. Sometimes songs just come out quick and this entire song was writing in less than an hour. Julie was an avid runner with her dog and Reese was her partern for about 11 years of running. Julie would always run every morning at about 5:30 am, rain or shine, with Reese
